hello everyone
quick history; ford alarm played up, fitted a Clifford (problems!!). took car off the road for a year to rebuild engine etc, battery died a few times....car wont start
checked the Clifford over properly and seems to be working ok (still got problems and want to remove)
ecu says theirs a key code issue, had them recoded, ecu not registering any problems
but car wont start...it cranks, can hear fuel but no spark. latest idea is that the ecun immobiliser software has locked down.
found an ecu specialist; he cant fix it! doesn't look like ford can fix it but there getting back to me
option 1; ebay puma ecu / key/ barrel / reader to get it running and have the frp map swapped later......anyone done this? any tips? how do I know which ecu I have? is there a code on it?
option 2; I hate the electronics...rip them out! omex ecu etc, fia kill switch 'immobiliser', ditch the Clifford and have all the locks rebuilt so I can actually get into it! anyone done this for trackdays etc? any tips?
option 3; strip it for parts, sell, buy a lancia stratos kit car....!
