Funny you should mention tappets.Ive always run my one on 20_50 mineral oil which is not recommended for the Encouraging engine.Its now done close on 120k miles and has never had any engine repairs.Its on its 4th set of plugs and I have only adjusted the tappets when I change the plugs so about every 25k miles.The car is always driven quite hard but always warmed up for maybe 4 miles before revving more than about 3000rpm.Only replacement on engine was the sump at 100k due to corrosion from external rust.
