Front Shocks

Help!! Trying to install lowering springs sorted rears easy but when I've started the fronts the torx is rounded on the inside at the top where you loosen the nut to release the shock. I've tried using grips to hold the shock while trying to loosen the nut on top but still no joy, any help appreciated.

Might be easiest to whizz it to a garage and have them use an air ratchet to loosen it. Shouldnt it be an allen key for inside the top of the tube not a torx?

It might be haven't checked other side yet I've just tried everything I've got really.

smack a slighlty larger torx into it or use an air gun make sure car is on the ground and load on the shock though
