Heat shield help

Had lots of rattles and looked under this morning to find that the long mid secton of the heatshield is hanging off. I have now removed it completely. Are there any issues with it being left off or do I need to get it back on again?

Most people here have ripped if off including me.. You wont find any issues so not to worry.

I repaired some of my heatshields by riveting pieces of a cut up heatshield around the corroded bits that fell off.
