After nearly 2 years my Puma was fired up again and with the help of James (XAF) here's a short video of how it sounds.

and here's a picture of both cars. James Puma really is a credit to him and it looks absolutely immaculate now after the recent work on it. The interior is stunning as well with the mint Milly seats and door cards.

My son Andrew also wanted me to include this as it's a sound he's really got used to hearing over the last 6 years This is coming down Sutton Bank in the Westy. You can hear when I touch the accelerator but most of the time the throttles shut.

That's very kind of you Barry, but you forgot the picture!

Plus, you can eat your tea from the bottom of your car. I have OCD floor clean jealousy!!

Cheers Tony and yes James I was having an old git moment then. I'd just arrived at my sisters and my son Andrew sent me a text saying I'd forgotten the photo. What a plonker but it's rectified now

Puma looks and sounds AMAZING Barry credit to you mate, must say while I,m at it James,s doesn,t look half bad either, look forward to seeing them both at some point in the future

Cheers Martin, will you make it to Sherburn in the Puma when the nights draw in instead of on the RD. We could organise a Puma meet there.

Cheers Wild E
How're you going on with your ST150 handbrake cable? Every time I try to adjust mine at the handbrake end the nipple on the front cable drops out of the splitter?
Barry

Looks good and sounds good! After nearly 2 years of hard work, you have done a 110% job on your Puma and the dedication as shown in your work. Hopefully, my Puma will be in a body shop after Christmas having new arches and a new of green paint. Any plans for doing another Puma?

Used the original first section and added the ST150 cable, works like charm. Not a single problem with it. At MOT the tester objected that my brakes were 'better then on big bimmers' (I have ST150 280 mm front discs and focus Mk1 253 mm rear discs)
The ABS is working as intended; only 'problem' is that the brake pedal is very stiff, will probably put in the mondeo servo like Erroll did

Hi Hewy
Thanks for that and I hope the work on yours turns out as well as James (XAF) but no more Pumas for me. The next car will probably be a 105E Anglia for my son or some work on my Westys, I'd love to do another Escort though

Hi Wild E
Yeah, you've used the same set up as me with the cables but I think I have it sorted now. The problem was the front cable was too slack but the adjuster nut is a nyloc so everytime I tried to tighten the cable it spun the nipple out of the splitter. So I tightened another 10mm nut on the end of the cable and used that to tighten the cable and now it's tensioned it stays in the splitter.
Bloody hell if your brakes are good what's mine going to be like with 300 fronts and 280 rears???!!!
Barry
