Joint meet with ZSOC?

hello there all, i am a reletively new member on here, and am friends with a couple of people on here (you know who you are lol)

At the moment there is a massive ZSOC meet being planned, and we are trying to get as much interest as possible from our fellow ford enthusiasts, and it would be good to see something different to a fiesta there lol.

Right Guys, This has been in the pipelines for some time, so i think now its time to put the feelers out to you guys and see what you think.

Basically to get the Central Region off the mark, myself with a little help from other reps in central/eoe regions have come up with a (possible) Venue to hold a BIG BIG BIG meet. Possibly one bigger than the Clumber park National meet.

So a little about the venue:

Basically as in the title it is a mahusssive Lake, and they have different plots around and also do all sorts of activities such as water sports, to rounders, to volleyball, to high rope courses, to jet skiing. Now not all of these will be available to us, as it all depends on what time of year we decide to hold this meet.

Ive also been informed that they have a really decent spot that overlooks the lake to get some really good photo's, maybe a plus for any people intrested in their photography. I will also email performance ford and fast ford to possibly get featured in one of their magazines.

As Milton Keynes is pretty Central in england, i think that it would be good for all regions to get together and "unite" as ONE whole club, hopefully attracting members Far and Wide such as wales/scotland etc etc.

Ive been speaking with the Willen Lakes management and they assure me that they are looking to hold an event like this for some time, but no-one has approached as of yet. Like the clumber park meet, unfortunatly we would have to pay (per car), now this is under discussion at the moment, but would be around the £5 mark, which to be honest is reasonable and i know people at the FITW meet was all happy to pay.

On site catering will be there i beleve, and i am assured from the management that they will be reasonable prices (not like Ford Fair) where its £6 a burger

Other things im told we can have: Football nets, Vollyball net, basketball nets etc etc, and im going to speak to Jikay and see if he will put some music on like Fitw, as i thought it was a good touch

So as said above, at this stage it is just basically, see who is intrested and then get back to them on a date, I think we are looking at October at this stage, as alot more things will be availble to us.

Myself and the other Central reps will be posting this meet in each of the regions to guage intrest.

So lets make this one to remember and all come together as ZSOC!

just been advised that this is to be a zsoc only event, which sucks, but obviously you are all more than welcome to attend, but, you may need to register on zsoc and make a few posts in the new user section and post a pic or 2 of your cars, then you can add yourselves to the actual meet list.

ZSOC mad rules strikes again. One reason I left the place. Who "advised" you that mate?

I don't see that the "rule makers" can do sweet F.A. about people turning up and joining in the fun with friends.

What they going to do?

If that's the way they want it, I won't be attending. Bloody kids.

Unless you make it an official ProjectPuma event (you are a member here after all) and invite ZSOC members... :lol:

i think its only meant to be a zsoc thing as they are trying to get fast ford interested to do a feature on the club itself, i know a few members from ukfiesta network will be attending, but most of them are registered on zsoc.

cant really see why other clubs arent being involved, as long as they dont mind 'pretending' to be zsoc'ers lol. after all, i can guarantee there will be other cars there than the zetec s, like the st, or other variants of fiesta, and possibly some completely different models.

besides, the puma is basically a fiesta coupe lol, and frp's are way cooler than the zetec s anyway lol

and as for being a member on here Dal, i might be on owner one day soon as the st is gone (couldnt afford to keep it) so will be on the look out at pumas, as well as other small fords......
