Never owned a Puma before but picked up a nice one yesterday. I'm having problems with the key fob: trouble is, the dealer is miles away and if I can avoid having to go back to him I'd rather.
The problem is that the key fob doesn't work. I've changed the battery, ensured that it's in the right way and checked the contacts. I can enter the programming mode (i.e. I get the "chime" when I turn the ignition key from I to II four times in quick succession) but nothing is registering when I press any of the buttons on the remote.
Can someone help with the following question before I go down the road of seeking out a new remote bit?
If you dismantle the key fob to change the battery, there's a little LED - should this be lighting up when the battery is new? Is there any way I can be sure that the fob itself is not broken?
