Really getting the bug again to go back to the Nurburgring.

Nurburgring thread - for next sumer:
http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?p=16268#16268" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

To fight the urge, I might have to look into going to some local track day so I can get at least some track action. Would anybody be interested? To give us a bit of organising time, how about mid to late september somewhere? Be a good time to try a track before going to the Nurburgring as well if you want to come in summer 2009.

Any suggestions and comments then please pipe up!

See here for possible tracks:

It's normally about £100 for 3 to 4 hours of tracktime. Ball park figure obviously.

Think it does for all of us Kev!

If people can put up prefered dates / areas they can attend, we might get it up and running to suit the majority.

Id love to commit to this but at the minute i cant. Fiesta insurance has fallen through so i will let you know when i know.

I'd love to do this but I'm on bloody exercise prep in Sept and at Fairford for most of October :(

Bloody work interfering with everything!

Have found 2 good trackday sites, Both list all the main circuits including some abroad. Bedford Autodrome looks like a great beginner track and one im looking at, probably not till late October though.

http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Lists some main circuits and Bedford Autodrome.

Can't find anything for Thruxton though which is a shame but I think I might kill the Puma there!
Any takers for any? Quite alot of choice
:)

I'm liking the Bedford Autodrome option...

Pencil you and I in for that one? Late October would be ok with me.

Saturday 25th october? Sounds good though at £260, for me, you'll have to just pencil me in im afraid. Will have to monitor that site closely, hopefully it doesn't book up early!.

A603 - A421. About 30 mins so no excuse not to come ;)

 Can't afford it at the mo, having a very, very expensive week but will keep an eye on my finances. I know I can't leave it too late. Could sell one of the cars I suppose.

Sell the big one, keep the little one for "housefly" impressions ;)

Very true, do have plans for the 'housefly' too. Not actually making it into a housefly though! Maybe a good idea for a car fancy dress party thingy. Possibly.

Have seen that sessions at Bedford are cheaper in november/december, typically there aren't any planned, for now. Multiple trackdays or just the one?

*temped*

Will it be a Puma only session?

I've got a new clutch going in end of this month as the current one has never been the same since Nürburgring last year...hope I don't break it again

Not sure yet Col, probably just be a general track day AM or PM. Being winter I doubt it'll be that busy.

If its under £100, and its right at the end of september, ie, after payday, then i might be able to do it. If its right down south then its no good either, Oulton park or something is do-able for me. I know, alot of 'ifs'
