Light to adjust wing mirror ?

On the driver's arm console, there are the 2 buttons to open either window + the knob to adjust the wing mirrors (see photo). Does the knob have a light in it? I thought I used to see it lit up at night, same as the window buttons are lit up. Or did I dream it?
I've had 2 very conflicting messages from my garage:
(1) it's an LED and cannot be replaced (I really doubt this as my Puma is 17 yrs old!) OR
(2) there's nowhere for a bulb to be placed
Can anyone give me some clarity on this please?

Pretty sure there is no light in the mirror adjuster.
I changed the LEDs in every switch, button and adjuster but that wasn't one I did.
