Mondeo throttle body

Hi folks

I've been reading about the 2.0 mondeo throttle body loads on the forum and am going to keep an eye out for one. The only details I can find on which one to get is that it's from a mk1 or early mk2 2.0l silver top engine.

Is there any way to identify it other than that or a part number etc.?

It needs to be an aluminium bodied one like the one already on the Puma, it is just a bigger inside diameter. By the look of the one in the picture it is a plastic bodied one, which are from later model Mondeo’s and are no good.
I have one so will have a look and try and find the part number for it. They are super scarce now but good like on your search.

Judging from an old post on this forum the part number is 958F-WA. There's a fair few for sale online. I picked one up on eBay the other day for £40. If you Google the part number you'll find a bunch of sites selling them in Europe for less than £50.

Chris @ LMS confirmed it's the MkI Mondeo 2.0 silvertop throttle body that's required. J who's doing my rebuild said they did 2 sizes for the 130 and 145 bhp variants. I've emailed the images below of the part I bought to Chris to confirm this is the right one.





I'm going to send mine to Lightning Motorsport once I have the money to get it machined.

Couldn't figure out the Shopcar website at all, but found a lithuianian site that's sending me one for 29Eur delivered, so that was a decent deal. :thumbs:
