...I simply need my wheel alignment checked and adjusted at the moment, but there will be other pieces of work in the near future on various parts of the car....
I don't know if you have a National Tyre centre near you? but I got my tracking done half price by their Edinburgh place a couple of weeks ago for 1/2 price - only £14.50. Did a good job and sorted my 'squint' steering wheel in the process. Good guys in my one but I guess could be hit and miss depending on branch.

Voucher for 1/2 price tracking:

National Tyres are very hit and miss for tracking. All depends who the person is that's doing the job on THAT day. Been good in the past but the last time they did it mine was no better than before I went in, (I think they just banged a few spanners and took my money!!...luckily only £14.50 that time) as only a couple of weeks ago I asked for it to be done again and the lad who had actually done it before said he couldn't do it this time as I had coilovers.....mmmm....really????....I then asked him why he charged me last time as the coilovers were on that time!!!!

Went elsewhere and got a computerised one done instead (as opposed to laser lined) and they did a cracking job. Although it seems not many can get the steering wheel EXACTLY straight no matter how good their equipment :(

I know it's a bit specalist, but if you need 2D AutoCAD there is another package that Dassault Systemes distribute for free (the creators of Solidworks) called Draftsight. I've been using it now and it's indistinguishable from AutoCAD in virtually every respect. Even the keyboard shortcuts work.

http://www.3ds.com/products/draftsight/overview/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Download, install, register (all free) and away you go.

Downloaded it about 2 years ago, it's pretty good, but I couldn't get the SNAP to disengage, kept going to the nearest whole number what ever I set it to.

This is not exactly money saving but some useful and brilliantly simple ideas

How about you save some money, and do us all a favour at the same time, and cancel your internet subscription?

5p off a litre on any fuel at Shell
https://www.bespokeoffers.co.uk/consumer/offers/save-5p-per-litre-off-any-fuel-at-shell--d4096" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Shell have been running a 10p off per litre of V-Power Nitro+, petrol or diesel, when you buy a minimum of £40.
I only found out about this late last night from hukd. Got the last 2 vouchers from my local garage (Burgess Hill) this afternoon, but the one at Haywards Heath had plenty of stock (The guy that distributes them is back to work there on Sunday). They only seem to be giving them away at Shell garages where they have attendant service (they normally distribute the vouchers).

Offer is from 3rd May to 2nd June!! (Obviously not had much promotion!!).
I don't think the garages will be getting any more vouchers once they run out, but I may be wrong.
Probably worth phoning your local garage to check they still have vouchers first.

Asda currently doing their semi syth 5w30 for £12 for 5L.

Oil and filter change at National Tyres & Autocare with 20% off code, prices from £28.80 using code = £23.04, there is also an optional charge of £1.70 for oil disposal.

They are using in my car (will be different for others depending on model)
Castrol Magnatec 5W30 Full Synthetic (my car takes about 4.5 Ltrs and a 5 Ltr bottle of this oil is worth £25).
OEM Filter (worth about £5-£7)

Code is: GPLUS1OF

Note: Due to the increased complexity involved with the removal of under-trays in certain vehicles, it may be necessary to make a small additional charge of between £6 to £12 for their removal. If necessary, this will be discussed and agreed with you in advance of your oil and filter change being carried out.

This deal has been posted on here before over 16 months ago and is now expired, that's why i have re-posted it, also the prices are different now. Mods delete this post and un-expire the old one if needed.

https://www.national.co.uk/oil-vehicle-search.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Works out at £29.06 for a 1.7 with Castrol Magnatec 5W30 Full Synthetic (includes oil filter).
