The general consensus is that the Ford OEM ones suit the car or the universal Cannon ones that you can get from Halfords if you're lucky or direct from http://www.cannoncarmats.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hi haGGard,

I'm also thinking about adding mud flaps :) to mine after reading this previous post regarding mud flaps: http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1245&hilit=pumabuild+discount

Daily I have to drive on a dirt track road to get to my allotment, so i'm thinking the flaps would protect the car a bit from the dust & small stones etc. as well as look nice #

Have you found a good price? Allo the searching I have done best I can find is around £50.00 for a full set of Front & Rear :|

They do look smart - I had them on my last kat. Having said that, I am not fitting flaps to my new one.

Is there a reason why? Just wondered if it's due to to something car wise? Just trying to work out the pros and cons before shedding out £50 odd pounds ;)

Comes to £54.47 with VAT and postage so might as well go to your local Ford parts desk and get them for £48 all in.

If you decide to get them that is.

EDIT: Just looked up how much I paid at Fords for mine £19.15 + Vat which would be £22.02 each pair or £44.04 for a full set.

Hi Dal,

Thanks :) Just called my local ford garage and they priced them at £26.75 per set = £53.50

So eBay may be the cheaper option after all... off to do some more research lol

Ford garages are a weird breed. Different prices and discounts depends where you go. That Formula E oil I bought recently for £15 for 5L was still £28 at a different Ford dealers 10 miles away.

I have the standard Ford flaps on mine so i can't really say what it's like without. They do suit the car very well though. My car is black so i can't tell if it helps keep it more clean because any dirt shows up on black without fail :D

I've got a set of cannon ones that someone can have for the price of the postage. They're off the FRP but I imagine they'll be cut to the same shape. Going for some rally inspired sparco ones myself :)

I was just thinking if they were the same as the fiesta then people could find them in scrapyards for say £10 rather than giving frauds £50 of our hard earned money, for virtualy the same thing :eek:k:

@ Craig the Cannons are actually completely universal. Used to be sold at Halfords, just seem to fit the FRP well.

You can find a full set for 12.50 new at halfrauds for the cannon ones? That sounnds very good indeed. Cant go wrong with a ford set though, but at 50 quid i'll hold on a little while yet before i feel like spending that kinda money on them

£12.50 is for a set of 2.

If you buy 2 sets you get them delivered for free though.. bargain.

Although I dont think they work well on the rear imo
