New problem

My puma has started revving by itself! Ill go to change gear and as my foot is pressed on the clutch the revs will continue to rise.. even though my foot is nowhere near the acclerator! any ideas

Also whats is everyones mpg? if i put £38-£40 to fill the tank then i get between 250 and 300 miles back.. is that normal a figure?

Check the Clutch Pedal Position Switch has not come loose. This monitors the clutch pedal position and sends a signal to the Powertrain Control Module.

300 to a tank / 40mpg is about normal.

250-300 should be a fairly comfortable return even with mostly spirited driving (that's 28-34mpg on 40 litres)

Driving like an old fart sometimes (I'm speaking about moi on one occasion) CAN see a return of 500+ miles (503.7 to be precise) from top of filler to conking out if you were mad enough to try it
