Hi everyone after spending all of yesterday trying to sort this problem on my own I'm reaching out for some help.
The day before yesterday I was sat in some traffic and suddenly had all this steam coming from my bonnet and a huge puddle of water under my car and my coolant filling tank was empty. Luckily I wasn't far from home an managed to get it back.

After investigating yesterday I have found I have a hole in the underside of the small hose that I think is the heater feed leading from the engine to the bulkhead. It looks simple enough to replace but I'm having real trouble searching online for what this particular hose is called I've come across various radiator hoses and the like but none look like the hose I need. For one thing, it looks to be larger at one end? My knowledge with engines is so crap so would really appreciate some advice.

Ideally, i would like to get the part from a place where I can go pick it up rather than wait for it to be sent in the post like GSF car parts.

Please if anyone can help id be so grateful I've attached some pics just to make it clear what hose I'm talking about.
Thanks in advance
Dan

Just called heater hoses, ask IanG I bought some recently as mine went the same way and he sorted me out no problems!

Maybe these are them?

Part Number Finis Code : 1104236 (I ahven't checked)

Hi Dan
This might even be just a Ford dealer part so try your local Ford dealer. Failing that try Ian G on this forum for a second hand one as he sells lots of parts for Pumas.Barry

Thanks chaps

97FB-18K359-DD although that's both hoses - you can't buy the single short one on its own from Ford

My listing is here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182562805531

Be careful to follow the correct pipe, you'll notice on the pic that the left pipe on the heater valve is the one which travels to the right side of the head under the coil pack.

Although most places with only sell you the pair anyway - on the early cars they have a smaller bore joining piece so there is still flow when the HCV is closed. This was removed with the later valves but the part number supersede replaced the pair.

Yes also correct

Thanks so much fir the help. I’ve still not got any further. And sadly that link on ebay came back no longer available so I wasn’t able to see it.

Is it really gonna cost me around £80 + for a small hose?

Is there any chance this could be what I need?

Hi Dan
Yeah that link to Ian's pipes isn't working but I should keep trying to reach him rather than guessing that something else may fit. Try E-mail, PM and there may even be a telephone number on his ebay shop.

DIY solution if you are really struggling...

Piece of pipe (aluminium or copper) which will fit tightly inside the hose......cut leaky section off pipe(just the leaky bit, no more you need to leave the curved section in place) .....slice remaining hose on a the straight section.....insert pipe (6 inch length will do)..jubilee clip in place....rejoin at HCV.....job done
May only be temporary but no real reason it cannot be permanent

No - 26mm bore which is far too large, that's a radiator hose.
