Removing heat shield screw/clips

Hi, I have started doing a little under sealing under the car and have found the heat shield clips have rusted to the threads. Does anyone have any tips to getting these things off.

Or is it just a case of squirting some wd40 and using a 24mm socket plus a lot of strength and swearing involved? Because I'm not having much luck at that.

The above sounds good, I never had any prob getting mine off the really bad ones just fell apart.Bit of a prob if you break the screw thread though.

If you're using a six sided socket they should come off relatively easy.
