Rocker Cover gasket

Hi,
My lovely Puma needs a new rocker cover gasket, anyone know if it's ok to use the paste stuff or should I just use a conventional gasket?

I'd personally use a proper gasket since I don't like having to do things twice. I used a pattern part however these are prone to not sitting quite right and require some fiddling to fit well. I believe the Ford ones don't suffer this.

You could try an instant gasket paste as I suppose that's what they're supposed to do...

I used a genuine Ford gasket without any sealant and it's been perfect. Really easy to fit as well - I'm told the patten ones can be an utter swine to get them to sit right.

I replaecd mine recently - used a pattern part which didn't fit very well, coupled with a good amount of instant gasket. No leaks after ~1000 miles or so!
