sometimes it works and sometimes not.its had a differant gearbox fitted by a previous owner,the sensor in the gearbox is the one with the cable sealed to it NOT the one that disonnects.there is a plug (3pin) that joins halfway up.where does this lead go to from there? does it go to the rear of the speedo clock or does it end elsewhere? car is 2000 x plate with digital dash.done the code trick sweeps over fine and no dtc code found.dont think its the actual sensor as it works majority of the time.so looking at a dodgy connection or simelar.fuses are ok,where is the earthing point for this item?
