Hi all,

As some may have seen from my previous post regarding problems removing the fuel tank... now that is all off, I need some assistance or experience with the fuel pump. My oem pump stopped working last week and I got a sytec replacement however the electric connector on top is different and has a red and black wires that look like they need to be spliced to the original red and black cables.

Is this safe to do so bearing mind this is all inside the fuel tank?

Yup, fuel is an insulator so just make sure they can't touch. In other words, slide heat shrink over the wires, solder them correctly to the corresponding colours and heat shrink the solder joins.
