Old, no doubt,

But, can someone please give or link me a quick guide to testing the Puma 1.7 TPS with a multimeter, and what I should be looking for?

Cheers

Tez

The TPS has a live, earth, and sig, you can unplug the TPS and chech which is wich, I think the middle one is sig. To test it, you plug the TPS in, put the black wire of the meter to a decent earth on the chassis or battery negative terminal, then push the red probe into the signal wire. At rest, you should see close to 0v, & at wide open throttle you should see close to 5v. As you open the throttle, voltage should move up slowly & smoothly, if the voltage drops out or spikes at any point in the rotation, the TPS is buggered.
