Valve clearance checks & 112,000miles?

Hi guys

Im sure in owners manual it mentions getting clearances checked at 100,000 miles?

My question is has anyone done this as ive never seen it mentioned on forums? Mines done nearly 112,000 miles now, if theyre worn surely im getting less valve lift & less performance?

Mine still sounds fine just think I might get a bit more power? Or is it a case of if it aint broke dont fix it?

if it sounds fine i'd leave it... you'd only do that job if there was some need to do it..or as part of a bigger engine service project...

you'd be far better replacing belts and various pulleys..

Mine is 141 k and i just changed the distribution and the transmission belt ...to be honest i dont know how valves should sound...
