I'd love to rescue it at that price, but I suspect it might need a lot of work for it's MOT.

You'd probably spend that much again getting it into shape. If you wanted a cheap Puma and had a lot of free time maybe...

If the waterpump is knackered you could have some serious problems with the cooling system and cylinder head.
