From barn find to passing the MOT

Bought my first panther black in 2000 brand new from dealer. V reg. Loved it. Traded it in for a stupid Mazda6. Bought a second one a few years later, again panther black, that had failed it's MOT. Lesson learned, as it cost me more than it was worth to fix it and as it was just for running...

    We are in the doldrums

I'm on my 3rd and as the previous one was crapped as needed more welding than a QE class aircraft carrier, I bought a MIG welder and taught myself how to weld. Thus far only the seat belt anchors and a small area of the sill that needed attention, but this one ain't going to the scrap yard...

    #save the pumas

I have just acquired a 2001 1.7, medium steel blue with 88k. My 3rd, and this one was going to be scrapped until I found it. Bought one brand new in 2000, took on a project in 2014 that was then scrapped after I sold it :hide: , so this one will be loved until I’ve gone the way of the dodo...

    Code

Hi all. Anyone able to help me with a radio code? Just bought my 3rd 1.7, and my 2nd one as a project, but the car had been lying in a shed for a few years and so code wiped. Old chap who owned it doesn't have the code. Don’t want to have to swap it out or put in a single din. Cheers

    ECU failing to diagnose

Has anyone had any trouble in reading codes? I've the dreaded ABS light on and despite changing all sensors and the pump, it's still on. Decided to bite the bullet and take it to a local garage. They think that the ECU is guff as their diagnostic machines are failing to connect. I couldn't pick...
