car is now up for sale as ive got my eyes on something else .

can anyone tell me if the clear perspex cover over the clocks is replaceable? theres an unsightly crack in mine so id like to fit a new one, im cabable of doing it myself if someone could kindly run me thro the procedure of removing the facia to get to the clocks, also where i might buy a new or...

only cos ive got to know the guy in parts dep, ive spent a lot of money with him since 1982 when i bought my 1st cortina, ive always had fords :wink:

totally mint now, had both sides repainted and rear arches repaired, ive valeted the whole car inside and out, fitted new ford badges and wheel centres, number plates etc etc etc.. i guess it looks like any other stock puma.... but this one is mine :grin: i still cant get over how...

I hope mine looks as nice when ive finished, those wheels look awesome. 8-)

new and refurbed parts to be fitted.. powdercoated spare wheel and spare wheel tray. new spare wheel tray threaded hook.. new centre caps for alloys. new ford blue ovals badges new number plates and chrome surrounds.. new genuine ford 'puma floormats, bargain at £30 from local Ford dealers.

i prep & mask it , take it to my mates bodyshop and let him put colour on, so not a lot really :wink:

ive decided to have everything but the roof repainted, it should be ready by tues 8-) ,

its as harsh as you want it to be, somethime i use it neat with an abrasive cloth for getting rid of orange peel and sometimes i use it with a soft damp cloth with a tad of soap, i use G3 for major paint resto. :wink:

the car is moondust silver i believe, as for t.cutting etc ive not had a problem before and i wont be going mad with it and itl only get done once, then il finish of with auto glym hi res polish then sealer. ive been painting motorcycles for 30 years or so so i know a little about paints and...

good or bad idea? i know some cars dont get on with jetwashing their engines, do i need to cover anything up electrical etc?
