What a fantastic Puma I have landed myself. It feels very tight and nimble. Only one owner and a shed load of paperwork from new. Its been someones baby :-) Looking to get a Leather interior if anyone knows of a Millie or Thunder being broken. :grin: :grin:

Hi Everyone, Its been way too long since I've been the owner of a Puma, but I'm on my way down to collect an 02 plated 1.7 with 70k miles. Looking forward to a spirited drive back to Durham from Stafford this morning. I'll try and drop some photos of the new "Beast" when I can. :-)

Depends how good a garage and if they identify and fix the problem easily. Went in told them what i wanted and which parts i wanted replacing, job done. Otherwise its time spent by the garage diagnosing your car trouble.

Just had my tie rod (steering rack arm) replaced yesterday along with the track rod end and cost £65 including parts and labour and another £30 for a new tyre. Replaced a steering rack in a MK4 fiesta last year Garage charged me £30 labour.

Cheers Jacko will have a crack at that on Monday when the snow hopefully goes ! :-)

Hi Guys, Had a little altercation with a kerb and the O/S near wheel today. Bashed into the kerb doing around 20mph. Took it round the corner to the garage who reckon the tracking is spot on BUT... The Steering rack or Track rod end might be bent. Do the ends come off the steering rack and...

Hi Jacko, i had the same problem with my fiesta last week. Now sorted after atching a rope strop to the bumper and other end to telegraph post (very low down) just kept reversing and pulling till it was more or less in line. :-)

The Beast now has a shiny new Alternator ........and problem solved, new Aux belt at the same time, a messy Saturday at the garage and a quick service, running like a dream now !!

Got myself a couple of hours down the workshop this weekend, time to play around and do some diagnostics. might even have a look at giving beasty a service.

I turned everything on, full beam radio on full tilt till me ears were bleading, anything that was elecrical went on, still wouldn't light up till 3100 rpm and stayed on until i bounced of the rev limiter. I think it just needs a good slap.

The beast has started with a strange problem today. The Battery warning light comes on at exactly 3100 rpm and stays on throughout the whole range above that. When the revs drop below 3100 it goes out. The VCT seems to be working fine as i get up to 4000. The light comes straight on not even...

Spotted a Y plated Black with F1 alloys leather interior looking very sweet indeed. Parked up in Prince Bishops Car park level 7 about 1 pm today, very smart looking example.
