Yep, something I forgot about.... Piston rings gone.... Now gonna need to top up oil all the time till I get low comp pistons and some shiny titanium rings to fit around... :-D

Guys, I think am having an oil pump failure, so far something from the bottom of the engine is making a noise (mechanical, sort of rotating), oil light keeps coming on during hard braking and today the engine temperature has been odd... took about half hour to get up to normal mark. Also, engine...

Not bad, but how do I put it... I average 60-70mpg if I stick to 65mph on motorway and A roads as well as 45-50mpg doing same type of roads but at 80+ mph...

What's the best mpg anyone has got from 1.7, I know that factory est is 38mpg, but has anyone got anything near 60?
