    1700 for sale few mods

I knew there would be something id forgotten ! I spaced all 4 wheels out 20mm with hubcentric spacers so the wheels would fit perfectly, also fitted 55mm long studs (20mm longer than the original wheel studs) and changed both front bearings at that time (as they were destroyed to dis assemble...

    1700 for sale few mods

i bought this Puma from a lady owner in April 2016. It started out totally standard, however the brakes were terrible (as are all standard Fiestas, Pumas and KA's) so I fitted Focus ST170 300mm Front discs and Mondeo ST220 Callipers, carriers and pads. there was still too much pedal travel so i...

    Fitting ST170 wheels with 205/45/R17's

I have just spotted a flaw with my 20mm spacing ! Whilst on a hydraulic lift i noticed that on full lock the tyre touches the lower arm... oops... so i would reccomend 25mm - 30mm spacing now. The tyres also touch slightly on the wheel arch lining

Ok so after seeing that the servo moves a lot under braking with new setup , which in turn causes excess pedal travel, so I decided to make a custom bracket to secure it somewhere to the body to relieve the pedal travel. Here it is, it was a quick half hour job doesn't look pretty but I will...

    ST170 Brakes on a Puma

If anybody does this modification i recomend also making a servo brace to further relieve brake pedal travel. I made one today , just a 3mm thick length of metal with 2 holes cut out (they bolt onto the master cylinder itself) and then a smaller piece of metal welded to the end which bolts onto...

Fitting spacers / extended wheel studs.

Hi all! Just a brief one for those who wish to change their wheel studs to compensate for spacers. Firstly do the usual, remove calliper carrier bolts and then cable tie the calliper and carrier together onto the Coil spring or wherever is out of the way, then remove the ABS sensor from the...
