    At what cost??

Any community with an unhealthy obsession with a cheap car will go through this same argument. People who stay in cheap cars forever tend to be more willing to keep old, cheap cars on the road until something major comes up. Usually, if not a wreck, its rust that causes the enthusiast to...

    My puma oil consumption

Don't overlook the crankcase ventilation system. A lot of oil can get eaten through that if its not right.

Engine performance dependant on oil level.

Agreed that it sounds like a VCT thing. Perhaps the VCT solenoids need a good cleaning.

Most Cost effective power upgrade ?

Nobody likes to say it out loud, but pretty much every car fresh off the lot in the last few years is faster than pretty much any DD car from 20+ years ago. You could drop a ton of money into forced induction, beefing up the internals and the transmission, and improving traction but still get...

    The All-American Puma

Anything RHD gets immediate attention as a curiosity. Since most people in N.A. don't even know this car exists, they will definitely ask questions. Unfortunately, since its a compact car that doesn't start with "Cosworth", the interest level will quickly evaporate. That's okay, do it for...

    Ford Puma Buying Advice

RHD is an eye-catcher at car shows. Someone who doesn't know what this car is could easily walk past without taking a second look, just assuming its an escort sport or something like that until they see the steering wheel on the wrong side, then they stop and pay attention.

    Ford Puma Buying Advice

Welcome. I'm an American and have put a lot of thought into this. I'm starting to accept that it will probably never happen for me, but I haven't totally given up hope yet. Lets start with logistics of importing: My current thinking is that the easiest solution is probably to find one of those...

    Charged & Puma'd Mk5 ZetecS

Its a tough call to make, and bravo for doing the right thing. I've been limping my favorite rust bucket along for about 8 years longer than I really should have by this point.

Endangered species - How many left figures out

Aside from rust, what will be the unobtainium part that people wont be able to get anymore that ends these cars? Headlights? Front windscreen? Wiring harnesses? Petrol?

    Jam Handles

I recently discovered a cute little accessory that I've tried on my Miata and on my Cougar and I really like it, so I thought I would share with this group. Jam Handles. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/fVrtTxijmdE These little tidbits allow you to close your door from the outside without...

    Leaking/dirty rear lights

Most likely they are made of polycarbonate and the right answer would be a polycarbonate cement. There are a couple other plastics it might be (Primarily acrylic) so find a way to test the cement before committing to it.
