    hi, thanks hotrod, i've already (visually) checked that plug and looks in good condition, gave it a wiggle but made no difference. will check breathers at the weekend. might give it an oil change anyway. it really has got me stumped.

    Update, just been out and filled both locks with WD40 (even though they seemed fine) and gave them a bit of working with the key... the double lock feature is now working correctly (turn key back then lock) - tested it abot 50 times, all good, guess the 28" of snow that was on the car for a week...

    Hi, Well I cleaned MAF and inlet butterfly, but still not idling well, power steering pressure sensor wiring seems fine so idle control valve coming off tonight :D Will look into best options for remote central locking. one other thing, the metal gearknob is bloody cold on a morning! Lmao!
