Hi , need help with my petrol gauge . For some reason it has started to read backwards i.e it says full when empty but the reserve light come on when its full ? it still drops to the left when the ignititon is off ? Strange ! there's no wiring loom diagram to be found anywhere ? so doe's...

hi when it started I changed the fuel pump,sender unit in the tank and its been like this since ? can I just switch a couple of wires around ? and if I can which ones will I be looking for ? thanks for the replies

so orderd new fuel pump then spent the day fitting new pump ,but still no preload noise from the pump when i turn the key ? checked the fuel cut off ,thats fine .the engine spins over everything seems to work ,but no fuel pump ! and the fuel gauge is showing full when theres no more than 10 lts...

well heres an up date went out today and topped the tank up .drove home 5miles went back to the car and no fuel pump noise and car won't start ,f**KING s**t. any surgeustions before I start draining £40 worth of feul and dropping the tank . thanks

thought I'd replied to this ! just to let you know I changed the hcv (again) and hay presto everything works as it should , I di use a good quility one and the shop where happy to swop it for me . just shows that even new things can be faulty. thanks for the advise

The tracking was done to the 4 wheels said the back was ok ! and the front was adjusted then readjusted by myself (feels so much better ,they were close I got it spot on LOL) and the tyre pressures are 2 psi above ford specs for motorway miles !, so don't know what else I can do .
