    Halfords Headlight Bulbs

I bought the Extreme Brilliance ones a couple of years ago. They are way better than standard ones, but I'd keep the old ones anyway. I got 13 months out of one bulb and 15 months out the other. I've since bought some Bosch one's and they're great. Only had em a couple of months so not sure on...

Where abouts are you? I'm not botheed about the tyres, I'll have to pay to get them removed anyway. Are they in good condition?

    Puma Wheel - Leeds area

I've got a Puma Black with the F1 style wheels. 1 wheel is bent and the spare is the wrong one for the car. I'm looking either for: 1) Ideally set of Four Thunder alloys or 2) Two or Four F1 style wheels in good condition or 3) Four 9 Spoke alloys in good condition Cheers.

    A/C BUSTED

    Similar discussion here actually... http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=13011" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    A/C BUSTED

I think these symptoms are normal, as the AC unit fitted to these cars are a bit of an after thought and aren't fully integrated. They work with a viscous coupling so when the AC kicks in every now and then it will affect the revs to the engine. Mine has always done this (even when it worked ok)...

    Fiesta ST150 280mm brake upgrade

Cheers Yvonne. Almost sorted now. Went to Ford. They've M10x25mm which I picked up from B&Q. Still fancy fitting bigger brakes, but at the moment I just need brakes! lol As far as I know guys, I'm pretty sure the ST150 178mmx22mm discs with the 54mm piston callipers will fit under standard 15"...

    Fiesta ST150 280mm brake upgrade

Those measurements I mentioned were correct. I was going to take a gamble for the larger ones but when I added the discs and pads it was quickly becoming a £300 gamble. I ended up sourcing some normal Puma/Fiesta callipers in the end, but when I came to fit them the carrier bolts were rounded...

    Fiesta ST150 280mm brake upgrade

I may have sourced some, but they are telling me there are two sizes of piston and thickness of disc. 20mm vs 22mm discs (thickness) and piston sizes of 48mm(?) and 54mm(?) - might have those wrong?

    Fiesta ST150 280mm brake upgrade

Thought as much, but thought here might the a good place to start. I'm in Hunddersfield. Suppose I could just sort it until something comes up. Cheers guys! J

    Fiesta ST150 280mm brake upgrade

In an urgent situation. I have a ceased calliper and need the car for the weekend. I could go get reconditioned ones from the motor factors, or I could upgrade them... Been reading up on this conversion from this site and others and it seems the best upgrade for minimal effort and modification...

Decent garage in the NW - Northwich/Knutsford

Looking for a decent garage to take the Puma for MOT and fix poly bushes. Can anyone recommend any decent garages in the area, preferably one which has fit poly's before and understands how hard the Ford ones are to get out. I would do it myself but just dont have the time right now, plus it...

Couple of nosies under the bonnet

    1. Just pulled into work. Had my side lights on, switched the engine off and key out but there's a churning/clicking noise coming from the NS headlamp. I lifted the bonnet and if I touch the headlamp I can feel vibration. When I switch the lights off the noise stops?! I could only think it would...

    Halfords Headlight Bulbs

Thanks. I checked the Ford user manual before checkin back here, an yes as you said HB3 for both. I called Halfords support to highlight th problem and it sounded like he'd heard this before. So I'll take them back and and the store should esculate the problem back to HO. This is really...

    Halfords Headlight Bulbs

Hi guys. Can you just confirm the headlamp model? I've bought the 9006EB HB4 51W for dipped beam and haven't got round to fitting them yet. I've been back to Halfords after reading your post to check with them and they are adiment I have the right one. From your original post, I understand I...

    Part or Full Synthetic?

Fully synthetic is always better as it's properties are stronger and should be better for cold starts. I've no problem with it being in there and I don't mind spending the money. I thought Ford brough the 1.7 service forward from 10k to 5k? Cheers.

    Part or Full Synthetic?

Feeling quite lazy this winter, I put the car in for an oil change. For some reason the garage has charged me for fully synthetic oil, which I don't mind because I know it keeps it's properties for longer therefore can go longer between oil changes. However, is there any test I can do to make...
