So by way of an update, I managed to get 2 connectors from a scrapped fiesta mk5. I think these 7 pin connectors are in reality compatible with a lot of ford models and even some mazdas. Now, the car electrician is telling me that he will cut through the harness wires and solder to the wires...

I've been trying to put the jack in its original place but I think something is missing, unless I have the wrong jack (pic attached). I also have the plastic bit in between the jack and the towing eye which is broken...do you know if I can find this part on its own? Thanks

Thanks for the useful info, unbelievable :fists: will go back and ask him to remove the struts making sure they're properly assembled before re-fitting and fit identical cups/weights. Hope no damage was done...

He is a trusted mechanic and gave me a supplier's invoice for the top mounts so I would be pretty surprised if he didn't!

Some more work done...had some dents in the rear quarters pulled out without paint and put most of the interior back in :D Still looking for a pair of front door cards or chrome/twill fabric... Some shots I took yesterday :)

Got her back from the mechanic and took her out for a spin this weekend. I still need to put back half of the interior and some little details (like the passenger aribag sticker on dash and no smoking one in the engine bay). Happy with the new 258mm disc setup :grin:

Found this old thread as I need to replace my airbag module. Found one matching the part number for my model (YOM 2000) but it's from a left hand drive car. I'm assuming if the part number is the same, it should not matter whether it's LHD or RHD? Thanks

Hi I'm currently looking for some replacement front door cards for my puma but want to be sure the replacement will be the same. Mine is a 1999 "Series 2", I guess one of the first with twilight/chrome fabric. Are all the twilight/chrome fabric door cards the same or there are different ones...

Rear windscreen seal bought as well. Toyota Starlet EP90 but looks exactly the same and is a bit longer than the Puma's too, all for Eur30 :-)

Got some more done today...removed all the trim in the back mainly to remove all the extra wires but also to prepare for the side windows replacement and better inspect for any rust. All seems in good nick though apart from the tailgate surround area which I was aware of and some surface rust...

Some more work done on the Puma this weekend. First up was finding a scrapped Fiesta mk6 from which I got the calipers and carriers to fit the larger 258mm discs. The Puma's horn also recently gave up so I removed the one of the Fiesta as well and had them replaced. Then I connected the 6000CD...

Thanks, seems like all Fiesta mk6/Fusion had the same discs except the ST so should be pretty easy to source the calipers :grin:

Sourced original 6000CD :) I will also get one of these cheap aux cables to connect my spotify 8)
