if this has been tackled before pls point me in right direction... but If I do an engine swap from 14 to 17... do I need to change the wiring loom or any other bits other than the engine and gearbox? :grin:

and no its not an option to just use the 1.7 car... I want to keep mine!

It'd be cheaper and easier to sell your 1.4 and buy a 1.7

The 1.7 has VCT so yes, you'll need to change the loom / ECU etc..

thanks Ive already sourced a donor.. good (low) miles. loads of new unfitted parts included... I presumed stuff would need to be changed but ive got the complete car so nothings a problem!

and as I say .. im not worried about easier... or cheaper... and im not selling my car! but It does need to go a wee bit quicker.. at 31 i dont have to deal with slow Unless I choose to LOL! :wink:
