1.7 torque curve

What does the torque curve of the 1.7 engine look like? As it is from Yamaha, I am thinking it may be like a motorbike engine :?

I came from a 1.8 Astra SRI (heavier car, 115bhp), and this seemed to have a much higher stalling torque (clutch can be unspooled with idle revs).

Don't know what the curve is like but Ford claim 157 Nm at 4500 rpm peak torque

Thanks. Torque does seem to drop of a cliff below 1500rpm, guess the fly wheel effect of the 1.7 lump is not enough to stop it stalling easily..

Not as bad as a bike's!

I can't recall my Puma feeling especially peaky, but then the gearbox was such a pleasure you look for reasons to change

The Zetec SE engine is not a Yamaha engine it just had design input from them
