Whats the best and cheapes way to get in the above power region? Would a CVH turbo out of a fiesta/escort rs turbo be the best engine for the job and if so whats the conversion like to do is it hard and how much should i expect to pay for this if i was to do most of the work myself?

Thanks

My mate has an escort rs turbo and it is running at 200 bhp. He changed the bottom end to a 2 litre zetec but i dont know what car it was from, uprated his injectors and had it remapped.

Thanks for the reply mate, what management was he using and was it a difficult conversion do u know?

Agreed. Cvh is old hat nowadays. Were never the most reliable of engines either. Had an rst once, spent more time being fixed than driving.

As el-dude has done a good alternative would be to have NOS installed.

Think he said it pushes FRP upto about the 200BHP mark.

See el-dude aparently it isnt. atleast not more so then slapping a turbo on and putting the engine under extended stress for 100% of the time.

Also from what people have said its a Bstard to get the 1.7i Zetec-S turbo charged, seems alot of tuning companies went for the 1.6 version instead aswell.

Well, you can read this thread and see for yourself that it is quite simple, actually....And not that expensive, either
