CAR NOW SOLD !!
Very reluctantly selling my beautiful 2002 Ford Puma 1.7 Thunder.
A fantastic car with superb handling and over 40 mpg.
Owned by me for the last 5 years but I’ve now retired so surplus to our
requirements.
High mileage, mostly motorway miles commuting to work, but feels and drives
like new. Bodywork and leather interior in very good condition. Wheels all
clean and undamaged. All usual Thunder extras including leather interior,
heated screens, air-con, 6 CD changer, ABS etc. Lots of documentation,
receipts, brochures etc.
AP coilovers fitted with new bushes all round.
I’m a professional engineer so have enjoyed maintaining it myself, apart
from cambelt etc. 3 keys plus radio code and two sets of locking wheel
nuts.
Location : South Worcestershire
Previous Owners : 3 (current owner has had it for 5 years)
Service History :
History to ~67,000 then owner (engineer) maintained
Serviced at 67,000, 76,000, 85,000, 93640, 101,500 and 108,500 miles plus :
70,000 miles
Cambelt/Tensioner changed
Water pump and auxiliary belts changed
76,000 miles
AP coilovers fitted all round with new top mounts/bearings
New anti-roll bar, wishbone, rear beam bushes fitted
New track-rod ends and drop links fitted
New front ABS sensors fitted
New plug leads fitted
80,000 miles
Both rear wings - new metal, repaired and resprayed
102,000 miles
New Michelin Pilot Exaltos fitted (4)
New drilled and grooved front discs with new Mintex pads
Tax due : 31st March 2014
MoT due : 4th March 2015 (yes, 2015) – no advisories
Bad points :
- Slight mark on rear wing and small rust blister (see picture)
- Was some surface rust on sills but derusted and repainted
- Once or twice the CD player has seemed reluctant to play
- AP coilover adjustment screws may be seized
(but have never had to shift them since installation)
- Usual small paint chips etc (it’s a 12 year old car)
