Aye, not a fan of this myself either... its just too rough round the edges at the moment. Needs something to tidy it up, cos atm it just looks like you attacked the dash with a dremel I reckon it could look really nice with a bit more work though!

Get some edging or find a way to neaten it, and it will look tons better.

good idea i had the same, but as i thought some jobs are best left to the profesionals.
maybe get the dash flocked or something hopefully it will conceal the roughness.
