Would grinding rear drum brakes bring on the abs / traction control light

Why would you grind your brake drums?

they have been making a grinding noise for a week now and now my abs light stays on

If they have been grinding for a week, why are you still driving it?
Grinding means no shoes left, further grinding means knackered drums, further grinding still means no brakes!!
Grinding also generates heat so chances are the sensors are cooked, hence the ABS light

So to answer your question....yes :grin:

Grind to metal, metal flakes floating around inside the drum and its a magnetic sensor.....
