Went to look at an early (15/11/97) build date Puma this morning.
I think it's far too gone, but is anyone interested in saving it ?.
It's been off the road since 2016 and has done about 150k miles

At this moment it's probably too far gone, if it's stored another 8 years, it might get worse but there might be more demand for it too.

I'm sure there won't be many 97's around now.

I was first asked to look at the car 2 years ago, its taken that long for the owner to decide that it may be too far gone for him to use the car again. I haven't met him, only his parents whose drive its been parked on since 2016. I emailed him on Sunday, suggesting that he could purchase another Puma for a fraction of what it would cost to restore his, there is a 1999 Melina blue one on Marketplace for £1200 with an MOT to next April, for example.
I know his uncle and spoke to him yesterday and he thinks it could be many months before I here from him again, apparently he is sentimentally attached to the car, so is having trouble in coming to terms with the reality of what I have told him.

I totally agree, especially when you see older rusted out Fords being sold for serious money.
