Best offset 17 inch wheels

Hello,

I'm from the Netherlands and bought me a puma 2 month ago :grin:
i've got a puma 1.6 with the 9 spoke wheels, i'd like to putt some bigger wheels on it.

First question: fits 17 inch tires with normal suspension without rubbing?

And wich ET is the best with 17 inch?

Standard offset ET34 and if you make sure they aren't too wide they should fit without rubbing. I can't remember exactly but I think 7J is ok.

I run Focus 170 ST alloys on 205/40/17 the offset is miles out compared with the standard Puma so I have used H&R 30 mm hub spacers. In real terms is only the equivalent of 16 mm spacers as far as the loading on hubs an suspension. I used these wheels because the are a standard Ford item and were cheap to pick up. In addition they are very similar to the FRP wheels.I have had no issues with rubbing whatsoever.

The standard ET of the ST 170 wheel is 47.5. With the with of the rim and the spacer it is only 16 mm more than standard,

Are you 100% on that offset, as I have it as ET49 on my list so I'll alter my records if I have it wrong.

I have 17 " Borbet CB rimswith, Vredestein Ultrac Cento Tyers 205/40
with 20 mm spacers
No Problems wath so ever.
