Brake Booster/MC upgrades

Having just purchased a puma, comming from more modern cars like the fiesta st180, the brakes take quiet abit of effort in comparison,


I was wondering if anyone has upgraded the brake booster on these?

Yes. However, only after upgrading brakes as it is that then the existing booster maxes out. I have on mine the ST150 conversion (front discs 280 mm, rear discs 257 mm) and the barekbooster and MC were a bit streched. I put in the combo from mondeo (1999.-2005.) and now the brakes are much better as the bigger booster is using the complete potential of the all disc setup.

Hi.

I would agree with that. I have fitted Focus ST 170 discs with Mk 2 Mondeo calipers. There is a marked improvement over the standard set up.
