Brake pipes

does anyone know if you can get away with cutting out the corroded part of the metal brake pipe and jointing it with new pipe.
Would this be ok for the MOT or does it have to be a full single piece front to back?.

They can be joined - in fact the OE pipes are done this way just under the modulator.

Thanks for the reply, that will save some time. I need to get the connectors and a flaring tool.
Do you know what size the pipe is ? I gather the pipe and connectors are metric.

The brake pipe is 3/16 (4.75mm) and fittings are M10
