Hi all,
I went out for a drive a couple of nights ago, and I noticed something odd - having been driving for over an hour, I pulled up at lights and felt a distinct thump through the steering wheel. I felt for it and discovered it occurs regularly, about every four seconds, and is preceded by a smaller 'click' sensation, so it's got to be mechanical. I am unable to notice anything when driving.
The engine's running very smoothly, but it's got to be related, since I was waiting at lights with the engine idling. When I went out for the drive, I did admittedy boot it in second gear (acceleration is amazing!), perhaps hitting 4,500RPM for a few seconds, and stopped at the lights about 20 minutes later.
I don't know if I should be concerned about this; it only seems to appear when the engine's hot, but it has come back since then. Possibly power steering? Or should I not worry about it?
Cheers,
Gargravarr
