With a 40mm drop they will fit, it has been done before. I think you may get a bit of rubbing on full lock but nothing major.

As for fitting 195s to an 8J, they will fit in theory, but will be an almighty stretch, and depending on the brand may not pop on at all. If I was to use EsCos wheels i'd go for 215/40/16; they are the same diameter as the standard tyres and will be a much better fit on the 8J rim.

but then you wont get that stretch tyre look.

you'll get a 195 onto an 8J rim pretty easily, I imagine its been done plenty of times before.

195-45 go on my 16 x 7J with lots of room to stretch.

Can't remember the cossy offset but that will play into whether they rub slightly on full lock.

That's why i told him not to, i can't think of much that looks worse in my mind.

well guys don't really know about that stretched look i like it when it is done good and it is in style with the car but i think i will need to stretch to keep them inside the arches don't i ?
and i don't want to slam the car cause i don't like the look the modest performance drop is more my thing especially on fords.
And know the biggest problem is to find a set in belgium

Stretched tyres... stressed tyres with less grip (mechanical as well as suspension)

Hope you tell your insurers exactly what you're doing fitting a potentially dangerous tyre / wheel setup.

Sorry, but I think it looks ridiculous as well as being performance limiting and potentially dangerous.

agreed, the streched stupid..... :(

But, if you know your stuff, you wil know thatt the escos wheels come as both 7.5" and 8"

the 7.5" wil fitt the puma better, and they wil be easyer to find tyers for :)

Really? I've never heard of/seen a 7.5J Cosseh wheel. I know they do them in 13x5, 14x5.5, 15x6 (Escort GTi), 16x6.5 (Mondeo Si), 16x8 (EsCos) and the super rare 18x8 on some EsCos's. Are the 7.5Js a continental Europe thing?

These are the ones the same as I have on, they fit perfect and are the correct offset

Look at this on eBay:

Ford Escort Cosworth Style Alloy Wheels, 16", ET35 7J, Mondeo Si, RS, GTI, ST,

I know because the parts guy where I work told me that they were available in both 8" and 7.5" I belive he had orderd 7.5" for his Mondeo, but got 8" by mistake. he orderd them form ford when we were still a ford main dealer, came in factory fressh boxes and all :)

not shure why they would make them 2 different Withs, but it's probably to do whit market....
I thought the 18" were replicas??

As for the once on that e-bay ad, they are from the Mondeo accsessory book. and not escos, they have the same look, but wrong ET, and are not as concave.
