crumbly steering wheel

102 on the clock and the right side from 2pm to say 5pm is all crumbly,any tips APART from change the wheel as its got an airbag,and im not in to that much messing about.any cleaning tricks? as i dont fancy an wheel cover! last resort would be some black insulation tape! :grin:

This has been on my to do list for ages. Even have a spare steering wheel ready while I clean the original. Not as if I've been busy lately but can't be arsed even though it's sometimes distracting when driving now.

I painted my Puma´s steering wheel about 4 months ago and it still looks and feels very nice:

Before I did this I had doubts how vinyl paint will last on leather and plastic surfaces, but it does. Best thing is that there has not been any sticky stuff on the leather parts after I sprayed them.
