Drivers door electric window & mirror toggle switch?

Hi should this switch be illuminated when the lights have been switched on and it's dark?
I ask as electric window switch lights up on the passenger side.
I did remove the switch looking for a bulb holder, but couldn't find any.
Does it have an internal led instead like on the dash?

I've just been outside to have a look...

The window switches on both doors illuminate when the ignition is turned on, so they are on all the time the ignition is on, irrespective of whether the lights are on or not.

The adjuster for the mirrors did not illuminate, so either it's not supposed to or mine doesn't work!!

No idea how the switches are illuminated though, as I've never pulled one to pieces.

Thanks for having a look , anybody got any info on how the window switch is illuminated ? Does the switch pull apart ok ,to change either a bulb or led?

mirror adjuster is not illuminated,but the switches for the windows are,its a soldered in bulb iirc k:

The switches are internaly iluminated, and I don't think you can replace the fillament. I suspect a replacement switch is the way to go.

You can solder in a suitable led if you take it apart

However be very careful when pulling it apart. I destroyed one allready... A new one cost me almost €100 or about 120 pounds at the dealership
