engine warning!

My engine warning light came on today and stayed on .Any ideas what this could be? i checked the dash test readout and noticed it was flashing from p046.0 to c089

any ideas? cheers

the light is on because its warning you some thing wrong with the engine lol

Is it a 2 lambda model or one? the fault ive come across most on pumas is one of the lambdas going bad, but thats just a stab in the dark, there are a load of different reasons it could be on, and without putting it on a diagnostic machine, you wont know. You can reset it by taking the battery off for 15mins, just make sure you have your radio code. Chances are it will just come back on again though.

Those engine diagnostics dont tell you anything other then faults with the actual dash.

Its a black, so probably 2 sensors.
Give the usual stuff a clean while the battery is off and see if the light comes on again, if it does then as suggested above time to plug her in properly.
