Hi guys quick Q,

Am i correct in thinking the the lower the value ET, is the same as having wheel spacers on standard wheels?

Forgive the stupidness, i cant quite get my head around offset :S

Cheers!

Andy

Pretty much yes. A lower offset sticks further out.

However it's not the same as fitting spacers before the hubs to try an minimize additional bearing wear etc if any.

Offset: ET##

This is the measurement of how much the part of the back of the wheel that sits on the hub varies from the centre line of the wheel.

A positive offset of ET34 means that on the standard Puma wheels (both props and 9 spokes) the back of the wheel is 34mm away from the centre line.

If you have a set of wheels that have a higher offset, the inside edge of the wheel will sit further into the wheel arch, and this is why they rub on the arch lining.

It is also very much worth remembering that if you've also lowered the suspension, that the front wheels may rub on the top seam above the wheel, and worst case scenario, you'll end up with a cut tyre.

They were for looks more than anything. Chances are I won't buy them as I have a perfectly fine set of wheels which are et37. Got to save the pennies for turbo parts.

I did read this bit, but the picture confused me! you that thing where you stare at something trying to understand and you just end up making it more complicated? That :D

One more thing, do S1 RST 7-spokes go over ST150 brakes?
