hi

i have found from looking through the forum that scubasteve used to do this for a fee however there doesn't appear to be any other mention of this service elsewhere

is anybody able to do a gear knob polish with imperial blue writing leaving the R on the knob as red as shown in the link?

I have a spare gear knob that i can post to someone to polish and paint

thanks

Possibly easier to get someone to do it locally for you, I had a local metal polishers do mine and did the paint myself with tiny modelling brushes

thanks guys

will try a local metal polisher for a quote etc

and do some shopping for paint :)

will put up result if it is a good job!

I'm pretty sure he just used to do them in a pillar drill working through grades of wire wool then metal polish

local (ish) metal polisher did a reasonable job with my knob not amazing as he didn't take that much care over it (did it in between other jobs etc)

however it did only cost a fiver

he was busy polishing an exhaust at the time and looks like thats more his bag

it is a small business called bracknell metal polishers
