How do I remove this....?

Hi all. I want to remove the carpets that line the rear wheel arches so I can clean them up.

There are a few bolts that I can undo, but I don’t know how to remove the one below!

Do I remove the plastic surround by simply pulling it, or lever it off, or twist the metal spine in the middle or something else??

Any help would be brill, thanks :grin:

they just twist off(not the middle bit,the surround), anti clockwise, think i used the end of a pair of long nose pilers in the slots

and a small socket is great for putting them back

I think they've got 10 years of dirt and dust on them so cant wait to get them off and clean them down!!

Hopefully wont find any (or much!) nasty rust behind there......

I found a beach behind mine when I stripped them off the black Puma lol!!
at least 2kgs of dirt!!
