I want to cut a piece out my inner arches

its because on hard corner the tyre touches it and has started to slice into the tread

iv seen people have done this to fit 17s, but would it compromise the chassis? be dangerous?

Spot welds are at the bottom so you'd need to reattach the remaining metal somehow.

I'd be curling up before removing it. It does spread the load on the strut, but so does a strut brace.

Just cut it and bend it, I did this to mine when on 16's it was also done to the frp's during production.

Looks as tho it's just rolled up, possible that a small amount has been cut off asa well.

Suggest doing it on yours will be fine as well
